Skiers and snowboarders should expect to pay upwards of 14 per cent more for skiing vacations this coming winter as ski companies reduce the number of skiing vacations available.
Peak-season weeks will be noticeably costly but even at additional times there may be hardly any big reductions on trips.
Skiing insiders report that with ski companies slashing beds by as much as 22 % costs are unlikely to be reduced.
Bookings are already greater than the number of beds available during half term that for the second consecutive year be on the one week for many the schools in England.
Price rises coupled with a reduction in the amount of holidays follows what was a very good winter season for skiers with good snowfall all over France.

Next season already looks better for snowboarders happy to vacation in January or March, as prices will be up by around 18 percent on the average, rather than 38 per cent for peak-season weeks.
Airline businesses, ski transfers and ski resorts are starting to recognize that they must offer operators reductions or special offers. Organised holidaymakers will purchase as many add ons ” such as ski passes and ski hire ” in pounds sterling before they leave on holiday.
