Raised in New Jersey, Mr Nicholas Bredimus brought the world of software, airlines, and hospitality together and forever changed these industries. This resourceful man has found work in a number of fields, from the luxury home design market via the essentials of safety in the air to software programs to help with time management. And what’s more, in all cases, his drive is clear.
His pedigree tells you all you might want to know concerning the source of his abilities and the amount he has accomplished. Coming together from many nationalities, his line can be traced to the time of ancient Rome, with the maternal branch rooted in Scotland and Germany. An equally varied mingling typifies his father’s side — prior to their emigration in the nineteenth century, Bredimus’ ancestors dwelt in Luxembourg and England.
After they arrived in the U.S., they still strove to climb in the world. One of seven children, Nicholas had a father who worked as a mechanical design engineer, and a mother who worked as a practicing nurse. Bredimus went on to dwell in Texas for a number of years as well as in Scottsdale, AZ, Reston, VA and Kansas City, MO. Following the completion of his schooling, he engaged in several high-powered posts for many of the most reputable and largest companies in the airline industry. Republic Airlines, Trans World Airlines (TWA), Hughes Airwest — all three would at different times appoint him as a vp. Most celebrated, though, is his achievement as a gifted software architect for the airline industry. Nicholas is probably most renowned for a US Airways request, creating airplane upkeep computer programs, which would soon become an “old reliable” for the purpose. He went on to program numerous other programs for the airline and hotel industry both before and after, including completely automatic systems for handling flight reservations, employed now at fifty or more airlines, not to mention his innovative room booking software on the PC used by the hotel industry, the launch for which was a major event at over 700 hotels. Still innovating, he developed a networking program to assist in ticket sales — another remarkable masterpiece.
He has even served in a number of posts entirely unconnected to software design, it should be pointed out. Nicholas managed American Express’ IT department, established Bredimus Systems in 1993, and had the honor of becoming the founding president of American Airlines’ AMR Travel Services.
But is he still working? Certainly — his expertise is ready to answer the call no matter his leaving prior interests behind. He’s at work now helping to advance building design — blending the needs of quality with genuine environmental interests.
